WELL!
It has been quiet a long time since I have been on this or had access to email/internet! I would love to say that I have tons of updates but I really don't! ohh well!
Here's what has gone on the past 2 weeks in my life!
My mom came on 7/18 and it has really been soo nice to have her here- thought I would never say that but really it has! The day that she flew in we spent the afternoon in Phoenix. We went to her favorite sandwich shop (and mine) Schlotzky's (may have spelled that wrong) and then we headed off to the mall. We finished up with a drink at P.F. Changs and got dinner to go which we ate when we got home!
I can't even tell you how excited Sampson was when she walked in! I had put him outside so that he would do his "jobs" without being distracted- but his tail was wagging into the following day after her arrival. He even slept on her bed with her! Traitor!
Late that next week I was off to my HR Conference for work- I flew home a day early so I could spend some time with Marsh- before I left for this trip I was super excited- I was expecting a promotion- however there was bad news delievered right before I left that I wouldn't be getting the promotion or the much anticipated move home. UGH! I was thoroughly disappointed but I am feeling much better now.
WHY... you may ask- because I have finally come to the conclusion that I am going to need to make some tough decisions in the coming months. Decisions that I wasn't sure I wanted to make, but with what just happened I am finally ready to admit that I just don't like it here! Which is why I am initiating operation saving! No more needless spending (which I do even though I am on a really tight budget). I need to be ready to pack things up and foot the bill come February if there are no other options on the table!
Maybe Melissa will have some tips for me!
Anywho- since I have come to that decision I find myself much happier already! It might mean that I won't be buying my Marc Jacobs watch or my Kitchen Aid mixer anytime soon, but I am ok with that!
August is going to be a really big month for me- my sister and her husband are in town on Friday for dinner, next week my mom leaves and Marshall comes. Then I have a huge project for work going live on September 1st! Time should fly fast! Anyone has any tips for my new upcoming adventure, let me know!

She's Coming UP the Mountain
My mom is coming on Saturday!!
When we orginally booked her flight out here I was looking forward to it but if you know anything about my mom you know she is where I got a lot of my charactaristics from (duh). Most noteable might be my judgmental side.
Now I have no problem admitting this! I am judgmental! Anything/one I see or do is constantly under scrutiny. I wish I could stop, but it is actually getting worse now that I am in the working world! and I don't mind it soo much!
For example: last week we had meeting with a big wig from corporate. It was just lunch- but some of the conversations that the others at the table were having were just INAPPROPRIATE! Also, we went to a mexican restaurant. I chose my lunch carefully- you should never eat anything too messy or too much when you are on lunch for business. Salads are always a good selection. But these other people just were little piggys! I won't even talk about the other aspects- like dress- actually I will. A few of the people wear uniforms on a regular basis- also hard hats as we work in a plant. It was almost like they wore the dirtiest uniform and purposely had hat hair. YUCK. So in my head I announced myself as the favorite at lunch!
Anyway- back onto my mom. Since she is judgmental I have been working off of a cleaning schedule in order to make sure things organized and clean.

My mom will be here for a month- which could be a looong time- but I think I can make it. My mom and I do have a love/hate relationship but I am leaving for a week and then we will spend sometime down in Phoenix on the weekends. Should go fast. Plus I have plenty of things for her to work on- sewing buttons, heming, cleaning, cooking etc. So hopefully she will be busy as well!
Anyway- Excited for the weekend! See you soon Mama!

Home At LAST!
Well I just returned from my 2 week hiatis in Iowa. It was just lovely and exactly what I needed! Now it is back to the real world!
Yesterday was a long day! My flight left from the Quad Cities around noon and got into Phoenix around 2- great time but then I still had to drive 7000 feet up to this mountian I am currently living on. Also, my car had been sitting at my friend's apartment- out in the desert sun for 2 weeks- so it was like death in there for half the ride!
Then I got home to my puppy! For those who don't know- my dog- Sampson is my life down here! He is a soft coated wheaten terrier and just the cutest puppy ever!

Baby Samp
Sampson on my work's website! He is famous!
Anyway- I unpacked and then just relaxed! I wanted to be at work by 5:30 to get caught up on everything I missed!
This week is going to be a busy one- we have a VP in town this week from our headquarters and I had lunch with him today and also a meeting to discuss my future- it went really well!
Then tomorrow we are golfing and then dinner with our management staff.
Now tonight- I am having dinner in Sedona with my long lost Grandma- I haven't seen her since like 2nd grade but she is in town for a few days and wanted to get together! So that should be a nice time!
This weekend we are headed down to Phoenix for shopping and a Diamondbacks game! YAY! I have never been to one- only a Cardinals game- so I am looking forward to it!
Well- I'd better get back to work!

My First Blog!
Well! Here I finally am!
For those of you who don't know- I have been reading my friend's blog for YEARS. All along thinking it was cute, clever and many times the highlight of my day! So I have finally decided to start my own!! So here we go...
Actually this could be a little harder than I had envisioned- I don't have the internet at home, so most of my posts will be happening while at work/on my breaks.
Anywho- on with the blog...
I have actually been on vacation for almost 2 weeks now! This has been the longest vacation I have taken since I took my job about 18 months ago. LONG OVERDUE!! Being back home has been sooo nice. I have eaten at all of my favorite places, seen my favorite people and had some time to sleep in and relax. That doesn't happen often in Flagstaff- my schedule has just been packed recently with my job job and my part time job at the local mall. So the break has been nice. Also- this trip home we attended 2 weddings! Fun times- one of the weddings was a family one (Marshall's sister got married) and then a friend who I traveled to Germany with in college (for our study abroad semester). Lately it seems like everyone I know is either, engaged, married or having a baby! When did we get so old! EW!
Well- I must get going! Army Wives is almost on! Anyone else addicted to this series? Since Sex and the City ended (which yes was a long time ago) this has been my only addiction TV wise- so I must go!
