WELL!
It has been quiet a long time since I have been on this or had access to email/internet! I would love to say that I have tons of updates but I really don't! ohh well!
Here's what has gone on the past 2 weeks in my life!
My mom came on 7/18 and it has really been soo nice to have her here- thought I would never say that but really it has! The day that she flew in we spent the afternoon in Phoenix. We went to her favorite sandwich shop (and mine) Schlotzky's (may have spelled that wrong) and then we headed off to the mall. We finished up with a drink at P.F. Changs and got dinner to go which we ate when we got home!
I can't even tell you how excited Sampson was when she walked in! I had put him outside so that he would do his "jobs" without being distracted- but his tail was wagging into the following day after her arrival. He even slept on her bed with her! Traitor!
Late that next week I was off to my HR Conference for work- I flew home a day early so I could spend some time with Marsh- before I left for this trip I was super excited- I was expecting a promotion- however there was bad news delievered right before I left that I wouldn't be getting the promotion or the much anticipated move home. UGH! I was thoroughly disappointed but I am feeling much better now.
WHY... you may ask- because I have finally come to the conclusion that I am going to need to make some tough decisions in the coming months. Decisions that I wasn't sure I wanted to make, but with what just happened I am finally ready to admit that I just don't like it here! Which is why I am initiating operation saving! No more needless spending (which I do even though I am on a really tight budget). I need to be ready to pack things up and foot the bill come February if there are no other options on the table!
Maybe Melissa will have some tips for me!
Anywho- since I have come to that decision I find myself much happier already! It might mean that I won't be buying my Marc Jacobs watch or my Kitchen Aid mixer anytime soon, but I am ok with that!
August is going to be a really big month for me- my sister and her husband are in town on Friday for dinner, next week my mom leaves and Marshall comes. Then I have a huge project for work going live on September 1st! Time should fly fast! Anyone has any tips for my new upcoming adventure, let me know!

ReplyDeleteI FORCED myself to start saving that way. To start I transferred $10/wk. Once you get used to not seeing it in your weekly paycheck, it's easy to save it.
I'm up to $40/wk now and it really adds up fast.
Thanks Frannie!! Where do you do that at? Sorry, I am a little out of the investment loop at the time being! You would never know I once interned with a Financial Advisor!
